FOOD, STYLING & PHOTOGRAPHY WITH GILLIAN BELL & CHRISTINA LOWRY- MASTERCLASS
We are thrilled to announce this fabulous Workshop!
An extraordinary Cake-maker and accomplished Fine Arts Photographer come together to offer a Masterclass in the poetry and art of Food Styling and Photography.
While you might not have eaten one of Gillian Bell’s wedding cakes, her talents in creating cakes that have a story of their very own takes her around the world with her whisk. She has baked cakes for celebrity weddings in Hollywood, for Lords and Ladies, and beautiful couples in over 15 countries. (Take a peek here at a sample of Gillians incredible creations..)
Brisbane-based Christina Lowry is a professional photographer and exhibiting artist whose style is influenced by the rich history of visual art. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts/ Visual Arts, Christina works as a fine art and commercial photographer. (You can see more of Christinas stunning work here ..)
Spend a day with us in the wildly beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland at Atelier34 and be inspired as Gillian shares her unique approach to creating and styling her cakes, then watch as Christina demonstrates the steps she uses to shoot them in her signature chiaroscuro style.
Then it’s your turn! To experiment, create, style and photograph your own food story, with Christine’s expert guidance.
FULL DAY MASTERCLASS FOR THOSE USING DIGITAL SLRS
As a special bonus for Masterclass participants, Christina is providing a custom-made suite of dark and moody Lightroom presets; a handbook; and participants are invited to join a private Facebook page to share their work with the group, and seek photography advice from Christina.
